Group Leader - Theresa Hancock
Come and join us for an opportunity to explore our beautiful countryside! We Ramble on the second Friday of each month, usually starting at 10am and finishing by about 12.30pm.
Walks are between four and five and a half miles long, covered at a leisurely pace and usually finish by 12.30pm. The routes take in such places as East Dean, Birling Gap, the Downs, Pevensey, Abbot’s Wood, Arlington, Friston Forest and Seaford Head. The terrain can vary from flat to undulating to hilly, through woods, fields, tracks and trails, and may include some stiles.
For some of the Rambles we can get get to the start point by public transport, but others are only accessible by car - generally lifts can be arranged for those without their own transport. We operate the booking system so that we car share as much as possible
There is no restriction on numbers and members should come suitably dressed for the terrain and prevailing weather conditions. You should bring your own refreshments, if required, for the 15-20 minute break at the halfway point. Depending on the route, refreshments may also be available from a local café.
Details of the upcoming walks can be found in the 'Forthcoming Events' below or in the Windmill magazine
