Despite an early morning heavy rain shower the weather rapidly improved as we set off from the Southease YHA carpark. By the time we got up onto the Downs the sun came out treating us to some spectacular views across the Downs towards Mt Caburn. Arriving in Telescombe we entered St Laurance's Churchyard where we had a grateful sit down to enjoy our refreshments and a chat. From here we continued back towards Southease, eventually descending back down to meet the River Ouse and walking along its bank back to the starting point where the YHA Cafe beckoned us for a refreshing coffee.
